FRIED GREEN TOMATOES

"Tomates verdes fritos", película estadounidense de 1991, basada en la novela homónima de Fannie Flagg, y dirigida por Jon Avnet. Fue estrenada en 1991, año en que yo nací. A pesar de la familiaridad del título cuando me hablaron de ella el otro día, o el hecho de haber estado nominada a numerosos premios y ganado dos Oscars (mejor actriz de reparto y mejor guión adaptado) no la había visto hace dos días, y puedo decir que disfruté mucho de esta gran historia. 
La película tiene un espíritu que va más allá de los tópicos de la América profunda de Alabama y Georgia, aunque toque el tema del racismo, no se deja bloquear por él, y la trama va llevando hacia otros caminos muy interesantes. La historia de cuatro mujeres...bueno, más bien tres ( si véis o visteis la película me entendéreis), unidas por el tiempo y los acontecimientos. El salto al pasado y al futuro, la insitencia en la acción de las personas como motor de todo...Definitivamente, no voy a esperar mucho a intentar cocinar tomates verdes fritos. ¡Qué película !

Fried green tomatoes, a movie I havent seen until last friday. I cant believe I didnt see this movie before...released the year of my birth, won two Oscars...The title sounded familiar to me when they recommend it, but..I couldnt imagine I would like it that much. Seriously, It has become one of my favourites movies so far...The main topic has a spirit beyond the "deep" America´s states Alabama and Georgia and the racism.  Though during the movie it deals a lot with this, doesnt become too boring or "stereotype" because keeps your interest with other stories going on at the same time...Four women bounded together by the time and problems in their lifes, back and forth from the past to the future....The meaning of little acts for each one and for others...Definetely, a movie to see.
